A Siberian court has rejected a state prosecutors’ attempt to ban a Russian translation of the Bhagavad Gita as “extremist” literature that provokes “social discord.”

The higher court in Tomsk upheld a lower court verdict dismissing the case against a version of the Gita titled Bhagvad Gita As It Is, published by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness in Russia.
