Vikram Pandit, who was named chief executive of Citigroup, the world’s largest bank , is one of three Indian Americans to head a Fortune

100 company, joining the ranks of Indira Nooyi of Pepsico and Ramani Ayer of Hartford Financial Services.

14 of the Fortune 100 companies have foreign CEOs. Ireland and Canada tie with India for the most foreign born chief executive officers.
