An Indian parent is charging a Cincinnati public school with religious discrimination for forcing his son to eat a beef taco.

In a complaint to the U.S. Justice Department, Ashish Gandhi says an employee at the Academy of World Languages force-fed the taco to his son in an “intentional act of religious bigotry.”

In its response, the school, which offers remedial English and world language classes, insists the son selected the taco himself and “At most, there was an error made on a single occasion, for which CPS’s personnel and administrators have repeatedly apologized to Mr. Gandhi.”
The incident is part of long-running feud Gandhi has with the school. The child has since transferred to another school.
