Discovery of India in Lisbon

Over the next couple of days I come across quite a few Portuguese loan words found in our regional languages: sabonete (soap), almiro (almirah), camara (room), chave (key), balde (bucket), toalha (towel), ananas (pineapple) and pao (bread).
