13 Indian-Americans named among scientists to watch
The fellows were chosen from eight scientific fields, including economics, computer science, mathematics, chemistry and ocean sciences.
Over a dozen Indian-Americans and Indo-Canadians are among 126 fellowship recipients from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation which said it was presenting the research grants in recognition of “the very best scientific minds” working today.
The names of the early-career scholars were released in a Feb. 16 announcement from the foundation which has presented the award annually since 1955. Recipients receive a two-year, $65,000 fellowship to support their research.
