| Football fans are taking umbrage at Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback Peyton Manning’s two-hour appearance at a Sweet 16 party at an undisclosed location in early March for a reported $200,000 fee. Deadspin.com reported Manning hid behind a cake with a baker’s hat to surprise the party girl and also published several photographs showing him dancing and posing for photos with guests.
It’s ok Manning. We wouldn’t turn away 200 grand to grin and bear it for two hours either. The question we have is for the desi dude who splurged like that for a birthday bash. Sultry Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat also made a cameo appearance at the party and is captured in skits with Manning in several Deadspin.com photos. Hmm… wonder what her going rate for party events is? Please, daddy, we need to know…. So who wants Hrithik Roshan and Derek Jeter for their Sweet 16? And anybody, know who this overindulgent desi dude is anyway?

A spokesman acknowledged Manning participated in a “private appearance,” but disputed its characterization: “It wasn’t a ‘Sweet 16’ party. It was a corporate outing.” Manning also asserted that the fee figure was “way off” the mark.
