Parliament Logjam Ends, PM to Speak on CWG

New Delhi: After 10 days of disruption since the Monsoon Session started, order seems to have been restored in Parliament. The logjam in Parliament finally ended on Thursday with the Opposition MPs not disrupting the proceedings in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. The logjam ended after a series of meetings held on Wednesday between the Government and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders. There were cracks within the Opposition itself when senior Communist Party of India (Marxist) MP Brinda Karat disapproved of repeated adjournments in Parliament. Sources say that the Government was unanimous in pushing through bills, despite disruption.
