Number of crorepati executives in India Inc rises threefold in 2 years
There are nearly five crorepati employees per company in the BSE200 group with an average compensation of Rs 5.5 crore.
ET Intelligence Group: The number of crorepati senior executives in India Inc has increased nearly threefold in the past two years. The number of senior executives of BSE200 companies who earned more than Rs 1 crore in remuneration in FY17 rose to 1,172 compared with 422 in FY15, reveals data from Capitaline and annual reports.
Two key factors have contributed to this growth: first, large companies paid better remuneration to the senior management.
