Nigeria Records $5.7bn Trade Balance Against India

India is the largest trading partner of Nigeria and Nigeria is India’s largest trading partner in Africa.

The Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Shri B.N. Reddy, has said that during the 2016 trading year, India’s exports to Nigeria hit $1.74 billion as against India’s imports of $7.41 billion from Nigeria, leaving the trade balance of $5.74 billion in Nigeria’s favour. Reddy, who spoke through the Deputy Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Shri Subhash Chand, during a symposium and a cultural fiesta organised by the Indian Universities Alumni Association, Aba chapter in collaboration with the Indian High Commission in Nigeria, on Saturday in Aba, said that the business relationship between India and Nigeria has come to stay.
