Minn. high school will remove Indian head mosaic from hallway floor
After consulting with past students, parents and community leaders, Jacobus decided the emblem should be removed.
No one will be walking on the Indian at Park High School in the Twin Cities suburb of Cottage Grove again.
The high school is removing a controversial Indian head mosaic from a hallway floor.
Installed in 1965 to depict the mascot for the Park High School Indians, the mosaic had recently been criticized by students and community members.
