According to The Global Language Monitor, which tracks latest trends in popular English usage globally, Jai Ho (Hindi for victory, popularized by composer A.R. Rahman in a song), n00b (a derisive term for a newcomer) and slumdog (meaning slum children), ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. The group recently announced the 1,000,001 word: financial tsunami.
