India’s Movies Are Rocking It Overseas

Several movies from across various reaches of Indian cinema have been making up for the industry’s bumpy year by clawing out robust returns in theaters around the world this week.

The biggest claws of course belong to Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai, which got off to a rip-roaring start last Friday in 5,700 venues around the world. But the Hindi-language hit is far from alone in shaking up the international movie scene.

Apart from the Khan and Kaif-starring spy thriller, at least three pictures have done bang-up business in recent days in overseas territories.
