There are nearly 200,000 Indian-American children who were brought to the US legally by their parents.
Their plight may not be as dramatic as that of the illegal immigrant mother whose infant daughter was allegedly taken from her by immigration officials as she breast-fed her in a detention center. Or as traumatic as that of thousands of young children forcibly separated from their parents under the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” policy as they illegally crossed the border and who are now lodged in warehouses.
