Illegal immigrants held by Maharashtra ATS had Aadhar, PAN Card

The ATS registered an offence against the group for illegally entering India under sections of Foreigners Act, Passport (Entry Into India) Rules and on charges of cheating and forgery under the Indian Penal Code.

Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) sleuths on Sunday arrested eight Bangladeshi nationals for allegedly living in Kandivali illegally. Two of the arrested persons had even managed to procure Aadhar and PAN Cards thereby pointing fingers to the loopholes in the government system. The police is also probing if the group was involved in any terror-related activities or were associated with any terrorist outfits.
