More than 15,000 revelers were drenched in the colors of Holi in Vienna on July 13, 2013. At the massive color festival in the open-air site of Neu Marx in the capital city of Vienna, thousands of people celebrated an hourly Holi countdown. At the top of each hour, they threw their bags of color into the air, transforming the venue into a sea of color.
The event was organized by a German company Maxim, launched by two Germans who witnessed the traditional Holi celebrations in Varanasi and over the past several years have begun hosting the festival in European capitals.
