Hit On The Head. Pain In The Butt

By
A  Brooklyn construction worker is suing the New York-Presbyterian Hospital for forcibly conducting a rectal exam when he came for a head injury.

Brian Persaud was handcuffed and arrested after he protested that doctors didn’t need to give him a rectal exam for his head injury sustained at a construction site in May 2003.

“This poor guy goes in for eight stitches and he ends up in jail,” said his lawyer, Gerard Marrone. “He had the right to say no. Who in the heck is the doctor to force a medical procedure on you if you’re conscious?”

The revelation about the rectal exam angered Persaud, who hit a doctor during a struggle and yelled, “Where I came from, you don’t put anything in someone’s a——!”

Persaud was sedated and later arrested. Those charges were later dropped. Persaud’s civil lawsuit is scheduled for trial in March.
