A new immigration bill co-sponsored by 51 Congressmen would grant green-card holders the same rights as citizens to bring their spouses and children to the U.S.
The bill also increases the numerical caps on visas for India, China, Mexico and Philippines. Presently spouses and children of green card holders from these four countries experience delays of five to seven years, because of a backlog.
