Govt To Impound Passports And Confiscate Properties Of NRIs Who Leave Their Indian Wives
With more Indians going abroad, it has been observed that more and more man leave their wives after marrying them in India.
It won’t be easy anymore for rich NRIs to abandon their Indian wives living with them abroad. In order to deter NRI men from deserting their wives, the law ministry has decided to take a slew of measures. The measures include confiscation of passport and property as suggested by an inter-ministerial group, the official familiar with developments informed HT.
