Government to Attach Properties of NRIs Abandoning Wives
State government officials said the external affairs ministry has received 3,328 complaints from Indian women deserted by their NRI husbands in the last three years.
The government is planning to declare non-resident Indians (NRIs) offenders and attach their properties if they do not respond to summons and warrants in case they have abandoned their wives.
