In a first, Indian embassy holds meet for Goans in UK

The high commission of India in London held its first-ever get together with the Goan communities in the United Kingdom (UK) at the Gandhi Hall at India House, recently.

The event was organized by the high commission along with the Goan Association-UK. The high commissioner of India to the UK, Y K Sinha, spoke about the significant achievements of the Goan community and encouraged further participation by Goans in furthering bilateral relations between India and the UK.

Minister (co-ordination) A S Rajan, welcomed the guests to the India House, which was followed by lighting of the Christmas tree by the high commissioner. “This is the first-ever get together being organized by the Indian high commission for the Goan community and it is a Christmas party to begin with,” Sinha said.
