e-FRRO Visa Service Will Facilitate Travellers Coming to India

The idea behind the launch of this service is to speed up the visa process, and make all the transactions transparent for travellers.

Foreigners travelling to India for more than 180 days now won’t have to go to Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) anymore, for visa-related services, including registration and visa extension.

Union home minister Rajnath Singh has launched the web-based application ‘e-FRRO’ scheme, which will allow foreign tourists/travellers to avail paperless and cashless visa-related services online without the need of any human interface.
