A Boeing is Blocking My Street!

A Boeing 737 jetliner was abandoned on busy Mumbai street for six days by a driver who took a wrong turn and then simply fled.

The decommissioned Air Sahara aircraft, whose tail, engine and wings had been removed, had been hoisted on to a trailer and was being driven through the city to New Delhi. After encountering an overpass that blocked the plane, the driver abandoned his trailer. 

The plane attracted international media attention for almost a week before it was quietly removed after locals complained it was blocking traffic and hurting their business. The identity of the aircraft’s new owner has not been disclosed.
