A Madhya Pradesh Minister criticized after a videotape showed a young boy tying his shoes has pledged never to wear shoes with laces again.
Cooperative Minister Gauri Shankar Bisen claimed he was unable to tie his shoes, because “Doctors have advised me not to bend down too much,” following bypass and hernia surgery,
Nevertheless, he said, “I swear that from now onwards, I will not wear any shoes with laces. I have specially brought from Pune six pairs of shoes without laces.”
