India's first moon mission Chandrayaan-I is set for launch on April 9

The India space agency plans to send a spacecraft to Mars and have missions to comets and asteroids over the next five years.

 

The government is planning to double the budget of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in the next plan to $7 billion for its ambitious programs.

India’s first moon mission Chandrayaan-I is set for launch on April 9 with a second mission planned in three years.
