| DNA tests of Basmati rice sold in the US and Canada found that just 15 percent of the samples were authentic Basmati. A quarter had mixes of three or more varieties of rice. Almost a third failed to meet the UK Code of Practice for Basmati and a quarter failed the rice export standards of India. |
