Medical Tourism Comes Under Judicial Scanner

The flow of such tourists is from less-developed countries to medical centres in highly developed countries.

Promoted by the Government of India, medical tourism in the region has come under the judicial scanner, with the Punjab and Haryana High Court questioning the ethical issues involved and the effective supervision of doctors involved. Justice Rajan Gupta of the High Court also sought information about its prevalence.
