English is the predominant language spoken by Asian Indian immigrants. However Hindi is the 16th most popular language in America. Two other South Asian languages, Urdu and Gujarati, made the list of Top 20 languages spoken in America. Nearly 200,000 people born in the United States speak South Asian languages.
