India boasts 123,000 millionaires, a 23 percent jump from last year, the fastest growth in any country in the world, according to the World Wealth Report by Capgemini and Merrill Lynch. China experienced a 20 percent growth in millionaires, to 415,000.
Nearly 30% of the world’s millionaires are from the United States.
According to the report, 10.1 million individuals worldwide (0.2% of the global population), have $1 million in financial assets. Between them their wealth totaled $40.7 trillion. The number of ultra high net worth individuals – those with net worth over $30 million – topped 103,000.
