Indian National Attempts To Extort Rs 2.6 Crore From Standard Chartered Bank In Singapore; Faces Jail And Caning

A 35-year-old Indian national, who tried to extort half-a-million Singapore dollars from Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, was charged in court. Nagarajan Balajee faces a jail term of between two and five years and caning under a charge of “attempting to commit extortion,” The Straits Times reported on Wednesday.
