Indian fugitive wanted in US alleges racial discrimination at jury trial

A 49-year-old Indian fugitive evading trial in the US on the charges of selling controlled drugs, has alleged racial discrimination at the hands of American authorities.

He also claimed that his extradition is being sought on the basis of incomplete documents and wrong facts.

Kuldeep Singh Sekhon, who is originally from Punjab, is facing extradition trial in India for being wanted by the USA government for manufacturing pseudoephedrine (controlled drug) to methamphetamine manufacture for $2,000 (Rs 1.27 lakh). While applying for bail in Patiala House Courts, he submitted that he had left USA as he was subjected to racial discrimination during the jury trial.
