A unit of Indias state-run Oil & Natural Gas Corp. said Monday that it would pay $2.64 billion in cash for a minority stake in a natural gas project in Mozambique, the latest example of how Asias biggest emerging economies are zeroing in on the African nations vast offshore energy resources.
