Chill With a Pill

Researchers at the Tea Research Association’s Tocklai Experimental Station in Jorhat, Assam, have developed a tea tablet, about the size of an aspirin pill, which they hope will substitute for your morning cuppa. Pop the pill for your daily oomph, or, if you prefer, dissolve it in hot water to make regular tea.

“The tea tablet is something that you will be able to drink normally or put on your tongue as you go into work and it will freshen you up for the day ahead, just like a real cup does,” said Mridul Hazarika, the station’s director.

The pill is expected to be brought to the market in six months.
