A lakh plus spouses of H-1B workers, who are currently working in the US owing to the employment authorization documents (EAD) granted to them, are living from day to day. They don’t know when the rug will be pulled from beneath their feet. There are many more who haven’t yet obtained an employment authorization and are trying to reconcile with the fact that their careers are on the hold.
