| IBM’s workforce in India grew 40 percent to 73,000 employees in 2007, accounting for one-fifth of its 356,000 workforce worldwide.
The number of IBM employees in India has jumped eight-fold since 2003, when it numbered just 9,000. IBM is also ramping up sales in the Indian market, which are expected to top $1 billion in 2007. |
