K. P. Singh, promoter of India’s largest real estate company DLF, has sold $800 million of his shares, partly to cover losses incurred by another of his companies as a result of the crash in India’s property prices. The shares were sold for under $5 per share, less than half the $11/ share IPO price in 2006.
