Bollywood No Match for Hollywood in Riches

By:

Bollywood may well be the world's largest film factory in the world, but when it comes money it cannot hold a candle to the World's richest film machine of Hollywood.

The biggest Indian blockbuster ever Sholay (1975), starring Amitabh Bachchan raked in under $54 million in 2006 dollars. That would be considered tepid, or even a flop in Hollywood. By contrast, the biggest Hollywood film of all times, Gone With the Wind grossed 25-times much, or over $1.3 billion.

On average, Hollywood blockbusters grossed 33 times as much as
Bollywood ones. Here's how the top 20 blockbusters stacked up.

Cockeyed Comparison
Your comparison draws close to saying that a 100m sprinter runs faster than a mile runner. It's an obvious fact that does need a full blown article. These sort of comparisons are just expressing cockeyed comparison not sure with what objective. It would have been wise if you had drawn parallels with a bit more of simple arithmetics involved regional languages movies, (total movie turnover)/(per capita income), (earning per movie)/(per capita income) etc etc. An article which reflects existence of "below poverty line" journalistic intelligence speaking metaphorically.
