Two California seniors are charged with hacking their way to top grades.

 

Prosecutors allege that Omar Khan and Tanvir Singh, both 18, broke into the Tesoro High School to steal tests and altered their grades by installing a hacking program to secure remote access to the school’s computers. The men switched their C, D and F grades and those of 12 friends to A and A-.

School officials became suspicious when they noticed Khan’s high averages after he requested a copy of his transcript.
